Hi there! My name is Hannah Schneider and I am an undergraduate at Washington State University.  I come from the small town of Rochester here in Washington. I transferred to WSU from Centralia Community College where I graduated with my Associates of Arts Degree in 2018.

During my time at Centralia College I was employed at the high school I graduated from, W.F. West. I was a College and Career Peer Mentor, which meant that I did a lot of background work to help students get on track to attend a college after high school. I absolutely loved my job there and really enjoyed working in the educational environment. When I am not at my job, you usually could find me working with the students on the Speech and Debate team as the assistant coach. Despite moving seven hours away to go to school at WSU, I still am able to help coach those students through weekly Skype sessions.

In my limited free time here at WSU, I love to read. I am a very big fan of any and everything Steven King, with my favorite novel being “The Long Walk.” Although I currently have my nose stuck in a book from a very different genre as I am now reading “The Help.”

When I am not studying, in class, or reading, I am usually cooking. I have developed a deep passion for baking and cooking. As a college student I am learning how to cook and bake good foods on a budget. I also have a very adventurous appetite and I love to eat food from all over the world. My favorite is nearly all asian food. I would love to one day travel all around Asia to taste their incredible food.

Ultimately, I am hoping I to start my career after I graduate in the field of Public Relations for an educational institution. However, I have a dream up my sleeve and that is to own my own cafe somewhere here in Washington. But for now I just need to take things one step at a time.
